Scaffold Security & Alarm Systems
Imperial Fire & Security
can install a site or scaffold security system, which can detect and deter intruders
who attempt to gain unlawful entry or access to vulnerable buildings whilst undergoing
renovation or repair.
A general system comprises of a pair of photoelectric
beam sensors, a control panel, keypad and alarm bell.
As standard, visual
warning signs are attached to the outside of the scaffold within the alarmed area.
The alarm system requires power from a mains socket and is set and unset via a
4-digit code entered into a LCD keypad. The keypad can be mounted either inside
or outside the property, in a small metal lockable box, attached to the main scaffold
at no extra charge.
Positioning of
Equipment
The sensors are generally positioned on the first boarded
lift or at ladder openings in order to detect an intruder crossing the beam. Once
the beam is broken, the alarm is triggered, sounding the bell, complete with flashing
strobe, up to a maximum of 20 minutes, to comply with legislation.
The bell time is pre-determined, usually between 2-5 minutes, after which the
system automatically resets. The alarm system has a tamper protection and the
sensors cannot be triggered by animals, rain or falling leaves, avoiding false
detection.
Systems can be expanded to have additional 'detection zones'
and can even phone you or your client on activation.
An Imperial
Fire and Security alarm system can be installed to ANY type of property, whether
residential or commercial, to offer both a visual and audible deterrent.
